Cole's third mixtape Friday Night Lights was released on November 12, 2010. He was later featured on " All I Want Is You", a 2010 single by American R&B singer Miguel – it peaked at number 58 on the US Billboard Hot 100. " Lights Please", the first single from The Warm Up, peaked at number nine on the United States Billboard Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart and became Cole's first entry on a national record chart. Cole released his second mixtape The Warm Up on June 15, 2009. Cole was contacted by American rapper Jay Z and subsequently signed to his record label Roc Nation. The Come Up, his debut mixtape, was released on May 4, 2007, to positive reception. Cole first took up rapping in his teens, collaborating with the local Fayetteville hip hop duo Bomm Sheltuh. Cole has released six studio albums, one live album, three compilation albums, two extended plays, three mixtapes, 56 singles (including 22 as a featured artist), two promotional singles and twenty one music videos. "Eventually 'Work Out' became a massive record," continues Cole. But I was hurt on the inside because I really idolize Nas." "I was getting mad defensive," says Cole, "because they don't know what I had to go through. I was in the studio with Nas and we were talking about you, like, why'd he put out that song? Doesn't he know he's the one and that he doesn't have to do that?'" Producer No I.D., who was working with Nas at the time, called Cole and asked, "Why did y'all put out that song?" Cole explains: " says, 'I'm gonna tell you the truth. So I finally put out the single and it was the worst response I've ever gotten on any song I've put out." 'Work Out.' I was excited that I had made something that I felt was a guaranteed smash. "Fast forward: It's two years and I still don't have an album release date," he says. Cole explains that he was releasing mixtapes, but "waiting around for an album release date from the label." "That song is just special. It's a long story that has to do with how I came up in the game," he says. Cole's much-anticipated new album, Born Sinner, is "Let Nas Down."
